The E-2 visa is a temporary, nonimmigrant visa designed for the treaty investor. In order to be eligible for this visa, you must invest money in an American company, work at that company during your stay, and originate from a country that has a treaty with the United States. This visa may allow you to live in America for up to five years, and the visa may be extended.
